Creekside Cottage is a waterfront retreat tucked away on a quiet and peaceful area of Lake Martin. Relax on the shady back porch & watch the herons fly by or fish jump out of the water. Or during summer months, park your boat at the dock and head out for a day of adventure. Creekside Cottage has the best of both worlds! Enjoy all the amenities that it has to offer including kayaks, grill, fire pit, fishing & dock! Can be rented with 2 tiny cabins & a cottage next door to sleep up to 24!

Other Details to Note

We have full water access April – October of each year. Between November-March, the water level is controlled by the Lake Martin Dam and the levels decrease. The property will not accommodate a boat to be docked during this time. The water is shallow in this part of the creek (only 4 feet @ dock during full pool). No diving is allowed from the dock. If bringing in a boat to the dock, please make sure you stay to the far left of the creek coming in and stay to the far right of the creek going out as that is the deepest part. Also, make sure you heed the buoys in the area as they indicate shallow water levels.

The property is just minutes from Lakeside Marina @ Bay Pines, Peanut Island, Big Beach, Historic Smith Mountain and DARE park. It is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Auburn, 45 minutes from Montgomery, 1 1/2 hours from Birmingham, and 2 hours from Atlanta. Beautiful Lake Martin covers 44,000 acres and features pristine blue-green waters year-round. Boat and wave runner rentals are available for your enjoyment or feel free to bring your own. You will find the lake full of catfish and bream for fishing. There are several hiking trails for off-road adventures. The lake community bustles with activity year-round with concerts and festivals for your entertainment. The lake offers cuisine from casual dining to 5 star quality. Try Oskar’s Cafe or Niffer’s Place for a more casual meal or Spring House for your special night out! Enjoy live bands and great pizza at Chuck’s Marina!

A single level home on a flat waterfront lot with plenty of room to enjoy the views, play games, grill and relax! Dock available for swimming, sunning and boating *during full pool (April - October) Please note, the lake turns to a creek during winter pool and there is no lake at the dock during this time. Kayaks can still be enjoyed & utilized in creek year round.

We adored this lake house. It was beautiful, the river was so much fun to kayak on and the large porch/patio was perfect for relaxing in the evening. We enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit and watching the sunrise from the dock. The kids enjoyed the giant Jenga set and playing Cornhole. The house easily accommodated my family for an Easter get together. 10/10 would recommend and stay again. Thank you, Kim, for such a delightful weekend getaway!

The property address is: 458 Waverly Lane Jackson’s Gap, AL 36861 *Important* If following GPS, DON’T turn into the first Waverly entrance as it not a county road and will take you through a long and winding road of other people’s property! Go all the way to the end of Lakeview Heights and take a right on Nature’s Cove and the next immediate right on Waverly Lane (dirt/gravel road). Cottage is the first driveway on the left (gray cottage w/turquoise door)
